The new active servo-controlled WETTY humidifier is designed to heat and hydrate respiratory gases allowing thermohydrometric conditions settings of delivered gas mixture to patient and parameter control to be shown on the dual display. WETTY features a double heating system (humidification chamber and heated wiring) enabling servo-control of set temperature and humidity preventing circuit condensation build-up. GINEVRI Nasal Cannula

As result of GINEVRI huge commitment to innovation, Nasal Cannula at Low Resistance has developed a system that is comfortable and not traumatic, thanks to its morphology and consistence, and can also be easily interchanged with a tracheal cannula in ventilation circuits, without causing additional breathing work. To ventilate the respiratory system, elastic retraction forces of the lung and the thoracic wall must be opposed, along with the resistance to flow in the airways.

In the newborn, about a third of the total resistances is located at the nose level. It is well-known that in case of breathing distress, a characteristic symptom is the movement of the nose alae. Their aim is to reduce resistances at this level, as a way of counterbalancing the increased work of breathing due to reduction of pulmonary compliance.

The degree of nasal resistances may be increased considerably with the application of cannulas for continuous positive pressure, increasing the patient’s work of breathing. This may result in ipo-ventilation and apnea. This symptom is exaggerated in premature babies because of the use of smaller cannulas.

GINEVRI accepted this challenge and committed huge researches and new technologies to provide the solution.

The new Nasal Cannula at Low Resistance with ventilation circuits has been developed: to limit the high flow resistance area only to the part introduced in the newborn’s nose, to aid spontaneous respitation and to provide stable airway pressure.
While, maintaining an insignificant resistance and dead space in the body and connection to the ventilation circuit, it reduces respiratory work.
Interfacing new Cannula with GINEVRI ultra-sensitive neonatal ventilators Giulia, is possible to further an improvement of the widespread CPAP technique and ensure extreme reliability and accuracy also in SIMV and SIPPV ventilation modes.
Thanks to the delicate lubrications of the nasal portion and to the different size available, Nasal Cannula is successfully used to treat all babies, from premature to full term.

GINEVRI Climatic Tent 2000

The Climatic Tent 2000 is equipped with a pneumatic “High-flow nebulizer”, a light-weight and mobile stand on four pivoting castors, a rod with three hooks to support the canopy, Close Top type, to create an isolated microclimate, with four vertical zippers to facilitate the access to the patient.

Inside the tent, the cooling and the air circulation allow to change the temperature from 3° C to 8° C under the environmental temperature. The humidification is achieved through a pneumatic high-flow nebulizer which operates using Air. The nebulizer has a reservoir and it can house a jar (optional) for the nebulization of drugs.

The Climatic Tent 1000 consists of an “High-output” Nebulizer with aerosol feature, a bottle having a capacity of about 400 c.c., a transparent canopy opened on the top, and a stand for support of the Nebulizer and canopy and one base with castors supporting the all equipment. It is utilizable in every case is required an humid atmosphere with limited cooling. Cooling of the tent is, in part, accomplished by evaporative cooling between the high humidity air within the canopy and the ambient air. The canopy provided is an open top design. This feature allows convection currents to be set up between the canopy and its surroundings: thus additionally reducing the temperature within the canopy.

Aquatherm is a heating mattress to provide optimum control of a patient’s temperature. It comprises a Heating Mattress and a Control Unit. – The Heating Mattress is a comfortable surface for the baby that is made from fireproof foam-rubber. It incorporates both a heating element for safe, evenly spread heat and two highly sensitive temperature sensors for fail-safe temperature control. ‘Aquagel’ technology ensures that the temperature is maintained even when the unit is disconnected e.g. during transport. The Heating Mattress can be placed on a care bench or fitted in a cradle. – The Control Unit has user-friendly settings to regulate the heat output of the mattress. It also contains an alarm system. Double phototherapy lamp and radiant heating. This equipment, which allows you to do phototherapy either from above that from below and also the radiant heating, is unique and very functional in the emergency for phototherapy and for heating. The lamp conveys on the little patient in a short time a remarkable therapeutic potency for photosynthesis bilirubin and an efficient heating servo. The equipment consists of:

An upper Lamp which permits to have both phototherapy and heating; It is equipped with an infrared radiant heating element for heating, 6 high efficiency blue Power LEDs for intensive phototherapy treatment and 4 high efficiency white Power LEDs for illumination and inspection of the newborn, everything integrated for use and control by an electronic micro-processor controlled control module;
A lower Lamp for a therapy from the bottom equipped with 4 high efficiency blue Power LEDs for intensive phototherapy treatment;
A moulding cradle transparent plastic PET with rounded;

The Antares Warming Lamp is an overhead device to provide a temperature-controlled environment to newborns for use over cradles and neonatal changing tables. It consists of a 350W radiant quartz tube radiant heater, a halogen lamp illumination system and a control unit. Antares has three operating modes:

In Manual Mode the operator sets the heating level. Safety features include an acoustic alarm.
In Automatic Mode the operator sets the desired skin temperature of the patient (range: 23°C – 38°C). The radiant heat level is regulated by a servo-control unit that monitors the baby’s skin temperature using a dedicated probe.
The Pre-Heating Mode provides heat at 30% of the maximum heating output.

Illumination system is provided by four 20W white light halogen lamps. The apparatus is mounted on a height-adjustable stand with a steel base that has a footprint of 0.4m². The Antares Warming Lamp weighs 19kg.
